Sunset on Blue Kai in Culebrita, PR

The picture is of Danny and our neighbor, Phil, from Seattle getting ready for a potluck dinner and drinks on Blue Kai. Our good friends on Rodeo and Pura Vida, both of whom are rafted to us, will be joining.

The very short update is that we spent a week at a marina and rented a car in Ponce to re-provision and prepare for our voyages south. We are now on the easternmost islands of Puerto Rico, which are gorgeous. We can see St. Thomas and St. John, and to have made it this far is really exciting.

Just in case you think we are having a holiday every day, we have also done a fair bit of soul searching and will write more about that soon. We have discovered that it is nearly impossible to actually see these lovely countries given our childrens' ages and dispositions. The degree to which we are limited has been a bit of a shock. But we have again, for now, found our "happy place" and are continuing east and south.

  1. Now THERE's a pair of motley pirates if ever there was one!

Do let me know if you ever make it to the Gulf of Thailand - I'll swim out to meet the Blue Kai!
